Quandale Dingle, also known as Quandale the Hunchback, is a character and mascot of the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was created in 1938 by then-AD Edward F. McQuaid and was first displayed at a game against Michigan State. Dingle has been part of the Notre Dame homecoming parade every year since 1946, and has made appearances on television shows such as The Ed Sullivan Show and Saturday Night Live.
