Rod Reiss is an Emmy-winning visual effects producer who has worked on some of the biggest blockbusters in cinema history. Reiss recently spoke with Animation World Network about his involvement with the project and how it compares to his previous experiences working on big budget films. “From a production standpoint, Attack on Titan is quite different from anything that I’ve ever done before,” says Reiss. “There are no set cameras—everything is turned by remote control—and because of that everything is always in motion … It’s really an amazing experience to be a part of.”

One of the main challenges Reiss faced during development was figuring out how best to render TITAN’s towering formidability on screen.
